Auto Collision Students Bring School Spirit to Life

Auto Collision Students Bring School Spirit to Life

Creativity met craftsmanship in our Auto Collision Technology program as three talented students—Trinity Guzman, Liana Mintz, and Cheyenne Driggers, also known as “TLC”—took on a unique hands-on project: painting a larger-than-life ant statue from start to finish.

Given full artistic freedom by their instructor, Mr. Scipio, the students planned, prepped, and painted the piece entirely on their own. Using the same skills they apply in the shop—surface preparation, precision painting, and attention to detail—they transformed the statue into a bold and vibrant symbol of school pride.

The finished ant now stands as an official mascot for Advantage Academy, representing not only our school spirit but also the dedication and skill of our students. This project highlights the real-world experience students gain in Auto Collision Technology while giving them the opportunity to express their creativity in new ways.

We’re proud of their hard work and excited to showcase a piece that will inspire both current and future students. Keep an eye out for our new ant—it’s hard to miss!
