AA Soars at Florence Airport's Aviation Day

Advantage Academy was proud to be a vibrant part of the recent Aviation Day celebration held on April 28th, 2025, at our very own Florence Regional Airport (FLO)! It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to connect with the community and showcase their diverse talents and skills.

In the spirit of collaboration and community engagement, multiple programs within Advantage Academy generously donated their time and resources to make the event even more special. Their contributions truly highlighted the creativity and dedication of our students and instructors.

Our talented students from the Digital Art program put their design and technical skills to work, creating beautifully embroidered shirts featuring the sleek new FLO airport logo. These custom shirts were a hit, adding a touch of local pride to the event and serving as a lasting memento for attendees.

The aroma of freshly baked goodness filled the air thanks to the hard work of our Culinary Arts students. They diligently prepared delicious cookies, which were handed out to visitors throughout Aviation Day, offering a sweet treat and a taste of the culinary talents being nurtured at Advantage Academy.

Adding an artistic and impressive visual element to the event were the combined efforts of our Welding and Auto Body programs. Students from these skilled trades teamed up to create some truly beautiful sculptures for the airport. These unique pieces not only demonstrated their mastery of their respective crafts but also added a touch of artistry and local flair to the airport environment for all to enjoy.

Advantage Academy's participation in Aviation Day at FLO was a resounding success, showcasing the diverse talents and community spirit that thrives within our school. We are incredibly proud of our Digital Art, Culinary Arts, Welding, and Auto Body programs for their generous contributions and for representing Advantage Academy so well. It was a fantastic day of community connection and a wonderful opportunity to see our students' skills take flight!
