Dr. Wendy B. McClain

Dr.  Wendy B. McClain has been in education for over 23 years. Her education career started as a business teacher at Wilson High School under the leadership of Principal Dr. Allie E. Brooks, Jr. in August 1998. She has served in the capacity of a curriculum coordinator and assistant principal at Timmonsville High School, director of Timmonsville Career and Technology Center, and currently she’s the CTE curriculum coordinator at the Florence Career & Technology Center.

Dr. McClain attended South Carolina State University for two years, but she received her Bachelor of Science from Limestone College, her Masters from Cambridge University, and her Education Specialist and Doctorate of Education from South Carolina State University.  She was named Teacher of the Year for Wilson High School in 2004. She is a diamond life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in which she held the positions of financial secretary, treasurer, corresponding secretary, parliamentarian, and currently the 2nd Vice-President. She is a life member of South Carolina State University National Alumni Association. She is also a member of South Carolina State University’s Darlington Alumni Association, South Carolina State Former Athlete Association, South Carolina Association of Black School Educators, South Carolina Business Education Association, and Association of Career and Technical Education.
